The Tryout Process

At Next Level Volleyball Academy, our tryout process is designed to give every athlete the opportunity to showcase their skills, compete in a positive environment, and find the team that best fits their goals and development. Our tryouts consist of three evaluation days focused on assessing each athlete’s technical skills, volleyball IQ, competitiveness, teamwork, and overall fit within our program.

Day 1: Positional Breakouts 

The first day of tryouts will focus on positional training and skill evaluation. Athletes will participate in position-specific drills designed to assess their fundamentals, technique, and understanding of the game. This allows our coaches to evaluate each player's individual strengths and areas for growth.

Days 2 & 3: Small Groups and Team Play 

The second and third days of tryouts will focus on competitive play, small group activities, and game-like situations. Athletes will have the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to apply skills in a team setting, communicate with teammates, compete, and make decisions under pressure.

Our coaching staff will evaluate athletes throughout the entire process to ensure we are building teams that are competitive, balanced, and aligned with each player's development.

Receiving A Bid & Securing Your Spot  

Athletes who are selected for a team will receive a roster invitation (bid). Once a bid email is received, families will have 24 hours to accept the offer.

To secure your athlete’s position on the team, a $200 roster hold deposit will be required at the time of acceptance. This deposit will be applied toward the athlete’s overall club dues for the season and confirms your player’s spot on the roster.

If your family needs additional time to make a decision, please contact Next Level Volleyball Academy at [nextlevelvbacademy@gmail.com] to request an extension. Extension requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
